Alpina has been making boots since the 1930s, and the company is one of the best in the business at making high quality backcountry cross-country skis and boots. This is evident in the Alpina Alaska boots.

They are made completely of leather, which provides them with a lot of support and a lot of quality. If you wear these boots for many weeks or months on end, they will not become uncomfortable. They also have a system to keep them waterproof, which is very important if you are going to be doing any skiing in any sort of cold weather.

They have an absolutely amazing sole that is designed to work with your bindings, however if the bindings are not compatible with an automatic binding system, the boots will still make you very comfortable, as they provide good support and stability while walking. The boots work extremely fantastic in all wintery conditions, but are also comfortable on a warm day out on the slopes as well.
