The Low Back Bass Pro Style Fishing Seat is highly rated because of its usability. Taking the time to use it yourself will also prove the rating.
The only problem I've had with the Daisywood product is that it does not fold up for storage in my closet unassembled. I say this is a problem because when it's not assembled, it's not stiff enough for me to stand on. It's, however, good enough to sit on and is really comfortable.
Another issue related to the above is that it's not very portable when it's not shaped. This is especially an issue because of the nose of the boat. Setting up the boat takes me about thirty minutes.
I have to take it out of my garage, set it up, and then when I finish sitting in it, I have to take it apart to put it back in the garage. Considering a typical outing for me, and many other fishermen, is to fly to a waterway, get in the boat, cast my fishing gear, and then sit in the boat to fish for several hours, I think this is a big waste of time.
The ratings are based on the assembled rating, on which the bass boat seat is quite good, not on the non-assembled rating. I have folding chairs that take up less space than this boat seat.
When I set it up, I take one minute to actuate some buttons, then ten seconds to put it in the water and put on a seatbelt, and then about three to five minutes to find a comfortable position to sit in with the boat seat.
