Pros:

  • High quality build and materials
  • Lightweight, sturdy sharp blade
  • Thumbstud is incredibly sturdy and locks with ease
  • This knife is literally a lifesaver

The Kershaw Blur Blackwash Folding Knife is a great knife for those users looking for an EDC style knife. The blade is 14C28N Steel and is outfitted with a high-quality coating called BlackWash to help improve the look of the blade and keep it looking sharp and last longer than a knife without the coating. The blade comes out of the handle with just the middle finger and thumb, making it easy to open and close with one hand.

The knife is equipped with a patented SpeedSafe Assist; a new, patented mechanism that gives the knife's blade a smooth, easy and reliable opening. This assisted opening system is amongst the fastest on the market, and it allows you to open the blade safer and faster than a manual knife. I really like this feature because it keeps my fingers safe, but also allows me to open the blade faster than I would normally be able to. Part of the reason I recommend it is because it has a reversible pocket clip, giving you the option to carry the knife tip up or tip down.

Another thing I like about this knife is that it is made with an investment quality stainless steel that is anodized to give it a black look and feel. The high-riding design of the handle is great and allows users to easily hold the knife without using a guard. This model comes with a screwdriver, a bottle opener and a lanyard hole located on the rear of the handle.

The Blur Blackwash offers a great knife for those users that carry a pocket knife daily, but are looking for a higher quality knife that is outfitted with great steel, a stylish design and easy blade opening.
