- Sturdy, durable and long-lasting
- Easy to put in and adjust
The VASAK crampons are a wonderful product, especially for modern alpinists that are trying to pack as light of a kit as possible.
They're great for a variety of situations. Their narrow points give you more purchase on the snow and ice and the horizontal far points help you stay more balanced on long steep slopes. Being as light as they are, they are also easy to use in just about any condition. You won't have any issues using these crampons in icy conditions or on a glacier. The VASAK crampons only weigh about 7 pounds and you can pack them quite nicely into your backpack.
These crampons are compatible with both leverlock and flexible lock bindings. They come with a lot of extras too.
They come with a leash that you can attach to either side of your crampons. The leash gets the crampons ready to rock the aisle and protect your toes.
They also come with two different sizes of front welts, so you can get the correct fit for your boots. There is also a dyneema cord, a set of VASAK tools, and of course, instructions for how to use them.
